Satyam signs pact to run SAP at Bridgestone

Satyam Computer Services Limited has entered into an agreement to run SAP at Bridgestone Corp, Europe, a subsidiary of Bridgestone, Japan, one of the biggest tyre manufacturers in the world.
 
Under this agreement, Satyam will provide application maintenance and support services to Bridgestone Europe for a three-year period. Bridgestone Europe is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, and has six manufacturing plants and one technical centre across Europe.
 
Manish Mehta, senior vice-president (SAP, engineering and spatial services), Satyam, said, "We strongly believe that Satyam's in-depth business and technical know-how of the intricacies involved in running large SAP installations can be leveraged to bring great results for Bridgestone."
 
Speaking on the partnership, Joe O'Neill, IT director of Bridgestone Europe, said, "We were looking for a partner with strong programme and project management skills, and most importantly with a commendable track record with large projects in Fortune 500 companies. Satyam met all these requirements and we believe that our partnership will help realise the fullest potential of our SAP systems and maintain our competitive edge."
