In an extension of its existing alliance with SAP, Satyam Computer Services Limited has become the latter's first accredited services partner in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The partnership focuses on SAP's and Satyam's long-term business expansion strategy in this region. The opportunities in the MENA region would comprise end-to-end implementations, upgrades, migrations and maintenance services.

Satyam has a strong presence in the MENA region with over 200 full lifecycle implementations with a team of over 150 associates.

Satyam is working closely with SAP in other parts of the world which has proved mutually beneficial. It has been an international offshore partner of SAP since June 2004, national and services partner in various countries, and also the national implementation partner for India, the US, Singapore, Japan and Australia-New Zealand.

"The Middle East market is growing substantially and the timing of SAP MENA formation is most appropriately timed," Manojeet Chowdhury, head (MENA operations), Satyam, said.
