Satyam Computer Services is likely to add around 3,000 employees by March-end, S V Krishnan, human resources head, said. |
"Our target for gross (employee) addition for 2007-08 (April-March) was 17,000. However, we have already crossed that level and plan to net add 3,000 more employees by March-end," Krishnan said. |
Most of the 3,000 employees are likely to have three-four years of average experience, he said. |
The company's gross employee addition for 2007-08 is likely to be 19,000. |
Currently, Satyam Computer's employee count stands at 50,000. |
Krishnan expects the industry's average wage hike in 2008-09 to moderate as against 13-14 per cent hike witnessed in 2007-08. |
He attributed this moderation in wage hike to inflation, which according to him is at the lowest level. India's fourth-largest software exporter will hike wages in June. In 2007-08, average increment for Satyam Computer employees was 15-16 per cent. |
Krishnan added that Satyam's attrition rate is currently 13 per cent and the company aims to bring it below this level by March-end. |
