Satyam Computer has chosen Malaysia as its largest software development hub outside India with a capacity to employ 2,000 people in two years. The company's 100-seat Malaysian global solutions centre will expand to over 500 seats in the next few months, Satyam chairman Ramalinga Raju said today. The centre is the first phase of the roll out of the company's 2,000- seat global delivery campus in Malaysia's IT park called Cyberjaya. The campus is scheduled to be operational by 2009, Raju said. Satyam, which has been accorded the Malaysian super corridor status, will spearhead the development of some critical systems, and directly support the software needs of some of its Fortune 500 clients. |
