Satyam Computer Services, country's fourth largest software exporter, has signed a contract to implement SAP for Kuwait-based business conglomerate First Holding.
The implementation will help First Holding standardise and automate business processes across its companies, which will enable faster decision making and better products and services for its customers throughout West Asia. First Holding handles multiple businesses in Kuwait including real estate, contracting engineering, hospitality, general trade and contracting industries.
The one-year contract, which includes SAP's global solution template, will cover all of First Holding's companies in Kuwait. The roll out of SAP ECC 6.0m, along with the industry solution for engineering, construction and operation management, will be in phases, according to a company press release.
Kuwait was one of the top contributors to the success of Satyam’s West Asia operations among its efforts to expand its footprint in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Furthermore, Satyam has witnessed an 86 per cent year-on-year growth rate in Kuwait for the second quarter of FY09 with its Kuwait operations emerging as the third largest contributor to West Asia revenues.
