Satyam to start PROMICE in Hyderabad

Global consultancy and IT services company, Satyam Computer Services Limited, will be setting up a process manufacturing innovation centre of excellence (PROMICE) in Hyderabad.
 
The centre will provide continuous support for product and process innovation and futuristic solutions development in a collaborative environment with industry, R&D institutions and educational institutions, the company stated in a press release.
 
Satyam has already partnered leaders in the industry, as well as academic institutions like Purdue University, Indian School of Business (ISB) and industry associations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the country and others across the globe.
 
It is looking forward for more alliances with both educational and R&D institutes, said Subu D, director and senior vice-president (manufacturing and automotive business), Satyam.
 
"As a result, we will offer innovative solutions using a highly-collaborative environment, which will provide our process manufacturing clients the expertise, speed, precision and agility they need to stay ahead in their market segments," he added.
 
PROMICE will have virtually-simulated factories for each of the 10 major process industry verticals "� metals and mining, building materials, pulp and paper, textiles, food and beverages, leather, plastics, rubber, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
