SiliconLabs launches back-to-back comp monitor

Engineers at SiliconLabs Private have developed a back-to-back computer monitor technology where two users sitting on either side of a computer monitor can simultaneously view the same content.

The product, called 'X View', has been designed to allow more than one person to comfortably view the same content. SiliconLabs has also added extra software features that allow partial masking of content on one side. X View can also be switched off on one side for use by one person.

SiliconLabs is a Chennai-based bio-medical engineering firm. The company's press release said the technology has been patented by it.

The release added that an LCD TFT X View back-to-back monitor will approximately cost an additional Rs 17,000-Rs 20,000.
