Memory modules manufacturer Simmtronics Semiconductors has ventured into the Netbook segment by launching its first Netbook based on Intel Atom mobile Central Processing Unit (CPU). The PC will be available in the Indian market this year.
Though, the Netbooks will be imported initially, the company plans to start production at its Roorkee factory as the volume increases. The company will start the indigenous production of motherboard in January 2009.
