Subex part of global devt effort

Subex Systems, Bangalore-headquartered vendor of anti-theft software products in the telecom market, will work on one of the "catalyst projects" handed out by the Telemanagement Forum, an international industry body.

The forum, which includes some 370 corporate members, is working on standardisation of the software needed for operations support needed by telecom operators.

The forum's work includes a major thrust on the use of open source software in the telecom industry, which currently is sewn up by vendors of custom off-the-shelf software.

Subex will work on one part of a revenue assurance project, a company release said.
