Concentrix Corporation, the business process outsourcing division of Synnex Corporation, has acquired the worldwide technical support, customer service and telesales divisions of e4e, a privately-held BPO company, for an undisclosed amount. These three businesses, part of e4e’s support divisions, have annual revenues of approximately $30 million, with an employee strength of 1,700 people in Bangalore, Chennai, Glasgow, HuntValley, Maryland and Phoenix (Arizona).

Post the acquisition, all employees working with e4e's managed services and India business services, including the relevant support function personnel and several members of the management team, will move over to Concentrix.

California-headquartered Synnex Corporation is a Fortune 500 company which provides IT supply chain services. “We are continuing our focus on growing the BPO mix of our business through strategic investments like the acquisition of the support divisions of e4e,” said Kevin Murai, President and CEO of Synnex Corporation.

According to Chris Caldwell, Senior VP and GM, Global Business Services of the company, the acquisition will strengthen the company’s customer portfolio by adding a number of Fortune 500 clients. “In addition, this enables greater cross-sell opportunities for our existing customers and we now have a solid delivery organisation in the high-growth domestic Indian BPO market,” he added.

With the acquisition of these divisions of e4e, Concentrix will have over 6,000 employees around the world, operating in nine countries and delivering support in over 20 languages.

The acquisition process is expected to start by the end of December and completed by the second quarters of Synnex’ fiscal 2011.

After this, e4e will be left with two of its lines of businesses which include healthcare and interactive entertainment service divisions. Prior to the sell-out of the support divisions, e4e employed over 3,000 people across its units.

“Over the last decade, e4e has built an enviable list of customers and best-in-class employees. We are confident that Concentrix is the right partner with the necessary scale to acquire our support divisions and make investments to help our staff and customers grow,” said Bhaskar Menon, e4e CEO and president.
