Tata Elxsi FY05 net up 50%

Tata Elxsi has reported a 50% increase in net profit at Rs 26.29 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 when compared with Rs 17.55 crore in FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 186.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 155.01 crore in FY04.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 8.18 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 6.17 crore in Q4FY04. Total income increased to Rs 52.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 45.43 crore in Q4FY04, the release added.

The board has recommended a dividend of 55% i.e Rs 5.50 per share of Rs 10 each for FY05, the release said.
