Tata Indicom, the CDMA brand of Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), one of India's fastest growing cellular operators, has reached a subscriber base of around 7 lakh in Orissa by the end of September this year.

Addressing media persons here, Kapil Sharma, chief operating officer of TTSL's Orissa circle, said, “TTSL has emerged as the number one cellular operator in the Orissa circle in terms of new customer acquisitions in the months of August and September.

Tata Indicom alone has reached a subscriber base of around seven lakh by the end of September.”

Nearly 10 per cent of Tata Indicom's subscribers in the state are post-paid subscribers.

Presently, TTSL has a presence in all the districts of Orissa except Gajapati and Malkangiri and aims to extend its coverage to these two districts by the end of this year.
