Tata Teleservices Limited (TTL) on Wednesday said it was aggressively expanding the penetration of Tata Photon high-speed mobile broadband service network in the country.
Photon, which was launched two years back, is currently the largest net access broadband service in India.
“TTL’s total revenue from non-voice data stands at 25 per cent, which is much higher than other mobile service operators, wherein it accounts for 14-15 per cent of revenue,” company’s sales and distribution head Sandeep Singal told the media here.
Meanwhile, TTL also unveiled Photon Max on Tata Docomo, which works on REV.B platform to offer faster surfing speeds.
At present, Photon Max is available in five metropolitans, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai with another 22 major cities in India set to be mapped by the end of year.
“About 90 per cent of Photon subscribers are individual buyers, while 10 per cent come from bundled offers with the sale of laptops or desktops,” Singal informed.
