TCS opens development centre in Bhubaneswar

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest information technology export company, today said it has opened 1,000 seats software development centre in Bhubaneswar called TCS Kalinga Park.

The company plans to ramp it up to 7,000 seats facility spread over 45 acres of land.

“Tier II and Tier III cities have the potential to drive the next phase growth for the IT industry,” said S Ramadorai, chief executive officer and managing director of the company.

“Over 70 per cent campus hiring at TCS happens from Tier II and Tier III cities. The new campus in Bhubaneswar reiterates our commitment to the development of new centres of excellence, enhance the suitability of talent pool as well as drive inclusive economic growth,” he said.
