TCS Q2 YoY net up 21%

 According to a release on the company website, total income moved up 22% to Rs 2,982.60 crore from Rs 2,448.19 crore in Q2FY05.

 The board of directors declared a second interim of 300% i.e Rs 3.00 per equity share of Re 1 each, the release added.

 The company added 74 new clients and 5,596 employees in the quarter under review, the release said.

 "TCS became the first Indian IT services company to employ 50,000+ professionals. At the end of Q2, the total employee strength of the company was 53,329 with employees of 49 nationalities," the release said.
