TCS, Siemens deal for medical devices solution

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's top software exporter,  and Siemens PLM Software today entered into an agreement for Teamcenter for Medical Devices, a fully-integrated solution for the medical devices industry.

"Teamcenter is an innovative solution that caters to the needs of the growing global medical devices market. Teamcenter encapsulates pre-defined compliance needs of the industry thus making it easy and reliable to use," Rengu Ayyaswamy, vice-president (engineering services), TCS, said in a release here.

Teamcenter would look to provide end-to-end management of the medical devices industry's product lifecycle. It would enable companies to fully trace all activities from concept to retirement by automatically linking compliance requirements with engineering and specification data, the release said.
