Europe-based security software provider TrustPort Inc is foraying into the Indian market through its subsidiary TrustPort India. It will have its marketing office in Mumbai, while its operational and support services will be based out of Hyderabad.
“We target to capture at least 30 per cent of around $200 million security software market in India over a period of next five years,” company’s international sales manager, Roman Veleba, said, adding it had been targeted to achieve a turnover of $2 million in the first year of operations.
Addressing the media on the occasion of the formal launch of its operations here on Friday, Veleba said the primary focus would be on providing antivirus compatible solution for personal computer protection and a comprehensive solution for versatile data protection.
Stating that the two products use powerful antivirus technology based on multiple scanning engines, he said the company was currently investing $100,000 for marketing activities in India. TrustPort posted a turnover of Euro 40 million in 2008.
