Tulip IT Services has received the national long distance (NLD) licence from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

According to a release issued by Tulip to the BSE today, the company has been conferred the NLD licence based on the new licence requirement laid down by DoT as per which all IP/VPN service providers were required to migrate to the NLD licence.

"With this, the company will continue to provide data connectivity services under its new NLD licence in the virtual private network (VPN) market," the release added.
