US-based Global Software Resources (GSR) Business Services Limited, a software company focused on surface technologies, is looking at a 30 per cent growth in its revenue by ramping up its India operations.
The 17-year-old company registered $11 million revenues last financial year. “Indian IT companies provide services at discounted rate of $ 20-25 per hour. As our major operation happened in the US we could not compete with them. But by keeping ourselves ahead of the Indian companies in areas such as surface technologies and using our Indian company as a captive unit, we could garner enough presence,” Venkat Krishnan, director, GSR Business Services Limited, said.
The company that started its India operations two years ago with an offshore unit has nine Indian clients and is planning to add more.
It is also planning to double the headcount in its India centre from the present 40. The company has 60 personnel in the US, Prem Hinduja, chief executive officer,GSR Business Services said.
