US-based Virtusa Corporation, an information technology services company, is foraying into the Indian market.
The company, which recently started exploring India as a revenue geography, is going to focus on banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI) and telecommunication enterprises in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
"The current domestic IT services spend in India is estimated to touch $8.3 billion in 2009, growing 20 per cent over the previous year. Virtusa is looking at addressing this market," company's senior vice president (marketing), Doug Mow, told mediapersons here on Thursday.
According to Akhil Agarwal, Virtusa's vice president and global head (BFSI), the company's "Lean IT Approach" is the key differentiator that reduces its clients IT costs and enables them to realise business outcomes faster.
