VisualSoft net dips 42% to Rs 4.07 cr

VisualSoft Technologies has announced 42 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 4.07 crore for the quarter ended March 2006 as compared with Rs 7.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last year.

Total income for the quarter decreased by 44 per cent to Rs 28.95 crore from Rs 51.45 crore in the year-ago period.

For the full year, net profit decreased by 29 per cent to Rs 20.21 crore, as against Rs 28.34 crore last year. Total income saw a dip of 15 per cent to Rs 163.92 crore, from Rs 192.87 crore in FY05. Basic EPS declined to Rs 10.11 in FY06 from Rs 14.22 last year.

The company scrip closed Tuesday at Rs 121.50 on the BSE, down Rs 2 or 1.62 per cent over Monday's close of Rs 123.50.
