VSNL to provide calls for Yahoo! voice biz

VSNL International, the overseas arm of Tata-controlled Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL), will provide international retail call facilities for Internet portal Yahoo's voice services.

According to a release issued by VSNL,Yahoo! has chosen VSNL International's teleglobe voice peering and termination services to exchange Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic on a global basis.

According to the agreement, Yahoo! will use the Teleglobe VoIPLink service to bridge inter-operability between VoIP networks to terminate traffic anywhere in the world.

Yahoo! is also utilising the Teleglobe VTS Service to ensure quality and cost-effective retail termination for users of Yahoo! Voices Phone Out (pc-to-phone) service worldwide.
