With the luxury display frames market still being in its nascent stage, Vu Technologies, a California-based company brought to India by Zenith Infotech, is in the process of launching such products for cars.

The company, which presently assembles display frames for LCD panels, digital photo frames and PCs at its Goa plant, had recently introduced display frames as home solutions products.

Pronounced 'view', Vu is one of the first luxury technology brands which researches, develops and manufactures high-end computers, LCD displays, audio devices and gaming devices, claimed Devita Saraf, CEO, Vu Technologies.

The company manufactures customised frames as well for enterprises, with its clientele including Oberoi Hotels, Taj Hotels and HSBC. Its LCD displays' prices range from Rs 39,000 to Rs 129,000.

"Consolidating our customised services for displays, we have tied up with the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, to design display frames for us. To begin with, we held a contest where NID students were supposed to design luxury display frames for us," said Saraf.

On the retail front, the company at present runs two display stores in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Saraf said that the company intends to launch 30 stores across the country by end of December 2007.
