Toshiba Corporation has been Wipro's largest customer from Japan and this new offshore development centre has further strengthened their 10 year old relationship. |
Wipro's relationship with the Toshiba Mobile Communications Company started from 2002, when they helped develop mobile phone application software. |
Since then there has been a significant increase of business. With the restructuring of the development team into an offshore development centre, Toshiba can take advantage of Wipro's skills coupled with cost advantage. |
On this milestone, Koichi Ohya, Chief Specialist for Toshiba Mobile Communications Development Centre said, "We see Wipro as a company that possesses technical skills like those of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standard as well as offers reliable software services.
