Wipro BPO, the business process outsourcing arm of Wipro Technologies, has set up its first rural centre in Tamil Nadu.
Manish Dugar, senior vice-president and global head for BPO in Wipro Technologies said the facility has 20 seats and the company will increase it to 500 by 2013. The facility, that has come up at Manjakkudi, a small village on the banks of the Kaveri in Tiruvarur district, caters to an international retail giant and serves it with back office to back office concept.
