According to Kamal Chopra, general secretary of the North India Printers Association, it was for the first time, in the northern part of the country (except Delhi), that these sophisticated gadgets were being displayed in the exhibition. |
A Xerox machine costs from Rs 65 lakh to Rs 3 crore depending upon the model and facilities being offered. Similarly, Kirloskar's generator is a big draw among businessmen involved in printing vocation. These eco-friendly generators could be found in the range of 45 Mw to 3,000 Mw. |
As many as 28 companies from all over the country have placed their items in the exhibition providing opportunities to businessmen from northern India in general, and Punjab in particular, to enhance their production facility. |
Chopra said about 1,500 units were located across Punjab, including 200 in Amritsar. |
About 300 delegates from all over the country and, for the first time, one delegation each from Pakistan and England were participating in the meet. |
Prakash Offset Machinery Private Ltd's Prakash 1015 Super Fast, an imitation of Japanese machine, attracted entrepreneurs for its comparatively low cost. The same Japanese machine, if imported, costs Rs 8 lakh. However, this Indian manufactured gadget was priced at Rs 1.50 lakh. |
