IT product development and innovation company, Zenith Infotech, today globally launched its computing platform — Proud, a single infrastructure for running all business computing needs.
Proud is a single centralised computing system which replaces the need for customers to buy computing and network hardware as separate and difficult-to-manage components.
"With Proud, we are going to change business computing. It is completely a new paradigm on how IT infrastructure will be purchased, used and managed," Zenith Infotech Chief Executive Officer, Akash Saraf, told reporters here.
A private cloud computing system, Proud has been engineered by over 250 computer engineers across Belgium, Germany, Mumbai and Bangalore.
"Proud is our highly ambitious research and development effort. We have invested around Rs 175-crore in it," Saraf said.
The company is hoping to increase its customers base in the country with this newly launched computing platform, he added.

"We have very few customers in India. Proud will help to increase our customer base. We are hoping to have around 2,000-3,000 clients of Proud in the next 2 years," Saraf said.
In the US, the company is hoping to have 20,000 clients for Proud.
Zenith has also built SAAZ, an IT infrastructure management system and ARCA/BDR, a back-up and disaster recovery product.
Proud helps customers to run their entire IT infrastructure as virtual machines within the cloud environment — be it desktops (which now run as virtual desktops), servers as well as appliances such as firewalls, routers and VoIP systems.
Customers can also add or remove capacity when they need it.
