Software and BPO services provider Zensar Technologies and its Japanese partner Nomura Research Institute (NRI) have started work on the next phase of their software migration suite, solution initiative for transformation and re-engineering (Sitar). |
The suite enables transferring of existing legacy systems to the open source platforms. |
Around 3,000 personnel will take part in the $10 mn project and it will take over 18 months for the project to get completed. |
"The relationship with Zensar is strategic to NRI for realising the company's potential in application modernisation migration market in Japan. The last one-year of pilot implementation has helped both parties to attain the growth required for performing well in the Japanese market," Keiichi Ishibashi, vice president, NRI, said. |
NRI's internal projects are currently being handled by the Zensar team. Following their successful completion, the same model will be offered to external customers, he added. |
"With this alliance, Zensar and NRI aim to tap the global software migration market. Zensar will provide system analysis and system implementation based on object-oriented technology", V Balasubramanian, senior vice-president and chief, Asia Pacific, Zensar, said. |
