Four devotees, including three women died and several more were injured in a stampede here on Wednesday night as hundreds of them jostled for tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple on Tirumala Hills, a police official said.
Hundreds of devotees turned up from across the country for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam commencing from January 10.
"Three women and a man died in the stampede," the official confirmed to PTI.
Meanwhile, videos of police administering CPR on a couple of woman devotees and injured persons being shifted in ambulances went viral.

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday said it has issued guidelines on the regulatory framework for research analysts and investment advisers to bolster investor protection and ensure transparency.
These guidelines came after the regulator notified the research analyst (RA) rules and investment adviser (IA) norms in December last year.
The new norms encompass qualification standards, fee structures, deposit requirements, and client segregation protocols.
The regulator introduced fresh compliance mandates, particularly for entities utilising artificial intelligence (AI) tools in their services.
Under the revised framework, Sebi said research analysts are required to maintain a deposit based on their client base, ranging from Rs 1 lakh for up to 150 clients to Rs 10 lakh for over 1,000 clients.
These deposits aim to provide additional security for investors.
Also, investment advisers are mandated to follow a graded deposit system tied to client numbers.

After the Punjab government informed the Supreme Court about a scheduled meeting with septuagenarian farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a SC-appointed panel met him at around 3.30 pm on Monday.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh was informed by senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing the Punjab government, that the protesting farmers had been persuaded to meet Justice (retd) Nawab Singh, who chairs the apex court-appointed committee.
"Some of us have been able to persuade those people under protest to meet Justice (retd) Nawab Singh led committee today at 3 pm. We are hopeful that there will be a breakthrough. Kindly take it up after a couple of days," Sibal said.
On hearing this, the bench said, "Let us hope and pray that better sense prevails on everyone."
The apex court asked Sibal to prepare a brief note of the deliberations and posted the hearing on January 10.

The RBI on Monday came out with a master direction consolidating various instructions issued to banks and other financial institutions on reporting of the credit information of their customers.
As per the master direction, credit information companies (CICs) will have to send alerts through SMS/ email to customers when their Credit Information Report (CIR) is accessed by the specified users (SUs).
"The alerts shall be sent by CICs only when the CIR enquiry reflects in the CIR of the customer," said the Master Direction  Reserve Bank of India (Credit Information Reporting) Directions, 2025.
Also, Credit Institutions (CIs), which include banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), will have to inform customers the reasons for the rejection of their request for data correction, if any, to enable such customers to better understand the issues in the CIR.
