The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has approved infrastructure works worth Rs 24,276 crore in greenfield capital Amaravati, Municipal Minister P Narayana on Monday said.
The minister said the approval during the 43rd APCRDA meeting caters to trunk roads, layouts and iconic buildings.
The 43rd CRDA meeting approved Rs 24,276 crore funds for the construction of trunk roads, layouts and iconic bhavans (buildings) in Amaravati capital, said Narayana addressing a press conference at the secretariat.
He said that a total of Rs 45,249 crore funds were approved in the past four CRDA meetings.
Narayana said that the upcoming Assembly building in the greenfield capital would be built in an area of 103 acres, stretching up to 11.2 lakh sq ft and will reach a height of 250 metres.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said all security forces and agencies should make joint efforts to completely eliminate Left Wing Extremism by March 2026.
He was speaking while chairing a review meeting to assess Left Wing Extremism (LWE) situation in Chhattisgarh. Starting in September of 2027, all new passenger vehicles in the U.S. will have to sound a warning if rear-seat passengers don't buckle up.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Monday that it finalised the rule, which also requires enhanced warnings when front seat belts aren't fastened.
The agency estimates that the new rule will save 50 lives per year and prevent 500 injuries when fully in effect, according to a statement.
The new rule will apply to passenger cars, trucks, buses except for school buses, and multipurpose vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds.
Before the rule, seat belt warnings were required only for the driver's seat. Under the new rule, outboard front-seat passengers also must get a warning if they don't fasten their belts. Front-centre seats will not get a warning because NHTSA found that it wouldn't be cost effective. The agency said most vehicles already have warnings for the outboard passenger seats.

Allahabad High Court judge Shekhar Kumar Yadav, who purportedly gave controversial statements at a Vishwa Hindu Parishad function, appeared before the Supreme Court collegium on Tuesday, sources said.
According to the sources, Yadav appeared before the collegium headed by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and was asked to put forth his version on the statements made.
The top court on December 10 took note of news reports over the statements and sought a report from the Allahabad High Court on the issue.
"The Supreme Court has taken note of newspaper reports of a speech given by Mr Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav, a sitting judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. The details and particulars have been called from the high court and the matter is under consideration," an official statement had said.
