Adani Group on Monday said it will acquire aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services firm Air Works for an enterprise value of Rs 400 crore.
"Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL) has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 85.8 per cent shareholding in Air Works, India's largest private sector MRO company with the largest pan-India footprint," the conglomerate said in a statement.
With operations spanning 35 cities and a workforce of over 1,300 personnel, Air Works brings extensive expertise in servicing both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.

Hours to go before a midnight government shutdown, the House approved a new plan late Friday from Speaker Mike Johnson that would temporarily fund federal operations and disaster aid, but drops President-elect Donald Trump's demands for a debt limit increase into the new year.
Johnson insisted Congress would "meet our obligations" and not allow federal operations to shutter ahead of the Christmas holiday season. But the day's outcome was uncertain after Trump doubled down on his insistence that a debt ceiling increase be included in any deal -- if not, he said in an early morning post, let the closures "start now".
The bill was approved 366-34, and now goes to the Senate, for expected quick passage.
"We are excited about this outcome," Johnson said afterward, adding he had spoken with Trump and the president-elect "was certainly happy about this outcome, as well".
It was the third attempt from Johnson, the beleaguered House speaker, to achieve one of the basic requirements of the .

The initiatives aim to bolster industrial growth, attract large investors, and contribute to Uttar Pradesh's ambition of becoming a USD 1 trillion economy, according to UPSIDA Chairman Mayur Maheshwari.
Speaking on the developments, Maheshwari, a senior IAS officer, said, "Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UPSIDA is continuously working to upgrade the state's industrial infrastructure.

France's anti-terrorism court convicted eight people on Friday of involvement in the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty in 2020.
Paty was killed near Paris on October 16, 2020, days after showing his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad during a debate on free expression. The assailant, an 18-year-old Russian of Chechen origin, was shot to death by police.
Those convicted were accused, in some cases, of providing assistance to the perpetrator and, in others, of organising a hate campaign online before the murder took place.
The shocking death of the 47-year-old Paty left an imprint on France, and several schools are now named after him.
The convicts include friends of assailant Abdoullakh Anzorov who allegedly helped purchase weapons for the attack and the father of a schoolgirl whose lies started the fatal spiral of events.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that states did not agree on bringing aviation turbine fuel under the ambit of Goods and Services Tax.
"States did not feel comfortable. They didn't want the ATF because they saw it as part of the crude petroleum diesel basket, and therefore they said that it alone cannot be taken out, and therefore that continues to remain where it is today," she said while briefing media on the outcome of 55th GST Council meeting here.
Besides, she said, no decision was taken with regard to reduction in GST on insurance premiums as the Group of Ministers (Go) needed more time to study the issue.
Many inputs are awaited including the one from insurance regulator IRDAI, she said.
She further said that the GST Council has also deferred the decision with regard to rate rationalisation as more time is required by the GoM for a comprehensive study.

An inquiry commission formed by Bangladesh's interim government has said that it has found India's "involvement in alleged incidents of enforced disappearances during deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina's regime, the state-run news agency BSS reported on Saturday.
The Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha quoting the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearance said, The Indian involvement in Bangladesh's system of enforced disappearances is a matter of public record."
The report said that according to the five-member commission headed by a retired Supreme Court judge, there was a persistent suggestion in law enforcement circles that some Bangladeshi prisoners might still be languishing in Indian jails.
"We recommend the Ministries of Foreign and Home to extend their best efforts to identify any Bangladeshi citizens who may still remain incarcerated in India. It is beyond the jurisdiction of the commission to follow this trail outside Bangladesh," the commission said.
