Real estate developer Sobha Ltd's sale bookings fell 29 per cent to Rs 1,388.6 crore in the quarter ended December mainly due to lesser new supply and high base effect.
Its sale bookings stood at Rs 1,951.6 crore in the year-ago period.
Sale bookings or pre-sale, however, increased during October-December period from the previous quarter at Rs 1,178.5 crore, according to a regulatory filing.
During April-December period of 2024-25 fiscal, the Sobha Ltd's sale bookings declined to Rs 4,440.8 crore from Rs 5,140.1 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding financial year.
During the entire 2023-24 fiscal, the company had sold properties worth Rs 6,644.1 crore, largely residential units.
"Q3-FY25, Sobha recorded sales value of Rs 13.88 billion (1,388 crore) supported by new sales area of 1.01 million (10 lakh)  sq ft at an average price realisation of Rs 13,663 per sq ft. Sales value recorded growth of 17.8 per cent compared to the previous quarter."

India has launched two special category visa for international students intending to pursue higher education in academic institutions in the country.
The 'e-student visa' and 'e-student-x' visa have been introduced by the Ministry of Home Affairs and all applicants will have to use the 'Study in India' (SII) portal launched by the government, officials said.
The e-student visa facility can be availed by eligible foreign students registered on the SII portal while e-student-x visa is offered to the dependents of those holding e-student visas, they said.
The SII portal facilitates the admission process of international students who wish to pursue either long-term or short-term courses in India.
Students will need to apply for a visa separately on the portal https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ but the authenticity of their application will be checked by SII ID.

OfBusiness, a b2b commerce and fintech startup, is looking to invest about Rs 3,000 crore into doubling its steel business to more than 4MTPA in the next three years.
The company has acquired three steel firms -- SMW Ispat, Shree Sidhbali Ispat and Noble Steel -- in the past and the expansion is lined up in all the three companies.
"We are looking forward to investing close to USD 350 million, about Rs 3,000 crore, to scale up our steel business from the current 2 million tonne to more than 4 million tonne in the next 3 years. This is also expected to sharply increase the sector EBITDA to 2.5x from the current level. The funding will be a combination of internal accruals and debt & equity financing," Co-Founder and CEO Asish Mohapatra said.
The company supplies steel to companies such as L&T, Adani, J Kumar, Dilip Buildcon, Ashoka Buildcon.

Foreign investors pulled out Rs 4,285 crore from Indian equities in the first three trading days of the month driven by apprehensions ahead of the third-quarter earnings season and high valuations of domestic stocks.
This came following an investment of Rs 15,446 crore in the entire December, data with the depositories showed.
The shift in sentiment comes amid global and domestic headwinds.
"FPIs are likely to continue selling as long as the dollar remains strong and US bond yields offer attractive returns. The dollar index at around 109 and the 10-year bond yield above 4.5 per cent are significant deterrents to FPI flows," V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services, said.
According to the data, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) offloaded shares worth Rs 4,285 crore from Indian equities in the first three trading sessions of the month (January 1 to 3).
The uncertainty among foreign investors is reflected in the ongoing trend of outflows.

Travel booking major OYO has launched a new check-in policy for partner hotels, starting from Meerut, introducing guidelines effective this year whereby unmarried couples will no longer be welcome to check in.
Under the revised policy, all couples will be asked to present valid proof of relationship at the time of check-in, including for bookings made online. OYO has empowered its partner hotels' discretion to decline couple bookings based on their judgment, aligning with local social sensibility, the company said.
OYO has given the directive to its partner hotels in Meerut to ensure this with immediate effect. Based on ground feedback, the company may expand this to more cities, people familiar with the policy change said.
"OYO has received feedback in the past from civil society groups especially in Meerut urging action to address this issue. Additionally, residents from few other cities have petitioned for disallowing unmarried couples to check-in at OYO hotels," they said.
