Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Fundraising through qualified institutional placements (QIPs) reached an all-time high in 2024, surpassing the Rs 1 lakh crore-mark for the first time ever in a calendar year, fuelled by strong stock market conditions and higher valuations.
Indian companies have raised Rs 1,21,321 crore through QIPs till November, according to data compiled by Prime Database.
This represents a more than two-fold increase compared to the Rs 52,350 crore mobilised in the previous calendar year.
The sharp increase showed market resilience has been a key factor driving this growth as companies will continue to garner capital through Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs), analysts said.
According to the data, 82 companies have tapped capital markets with QIP issues till November this year, compared with just 35 that raised Rs 38,220 crore during the same period last year.

Northern Coalfields Ltd on Sunday said it has spent over Rs 1,000 crore in the last 10 years under various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The CSR target of Singrauli-based Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) is Rs 172.97 crore for the ongoing financial year.
"NCL touched the lives of around 10 lakh people and spent more than Rs 1,000 crore on various CSR initiatives in the previous 10 years," it said in a statement.
The company's CSR expenditure in the previous fiscal year was Rs 157 crore.
Under the guidance of the coal ministry, NCL rolled out 'CHARAK- Community Health: A Responsive Action for Koylanchal', a health-centric CSR initiative on Sunday, as per the statement.

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has spent Rs 5,570 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives over the past decade, a top official said on Sunday.
Coal India Chairman P M Prasad said the PSU has been focusing on education, healthcare, skill development, sports, and women empowerment.
Inaugurating the 3rd CIL CSR Conclave 2024  on Sunday, West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose underscored the transformative power of CSR initiatives in improving the lives of communities, particularly in tribal belts of coal-bearing areas.
He lauded CIL's contributions, including its efforts to support cancer patients, stating that such initiatives contribute to the holistic development of the nation.
CSR initiatives are a powerful tool to transform lives, especially in vulnerable regions, Bose said.
"Coal India spent Rs 5,570 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives over the past 10 years," Prasad said.

State-owned NBCC Ltd is targeting to reach Rs 1 lakh crore of consolidated order book by March next year from the current Rs 84,400 crore as the company looks to expand business across India.
NBCC (India) Ltd is into Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and real estate businesses.
"NBCC has an order book of around Rs 84,000 crore. We are targeting to take Rs 1 lakh crore at the end of this financial year," NBCC Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) K P Mahadevaswamy told investors.
According to a transcript of discussion with investors, he said the total order book at a consolidated level is Rs 84,400 crore, of which NBCC's share is about Rs 70,400 crore.
The remaining is order book of its subsidiaries.
The order book of HSCL stood at Rs 8,093 crore, HSCL Rs 5,915 crore, and NSL Rs 200 crore.
Of the total order book, Mahadevaswamy said the PMC/EPC contributes around 55 per cent and 45 per cent in redevelopment.
