Analytica Anacon India 2013 receives good response

The event witnessed an impressive lineup of leading companies from the instrumentation industry

Analytica Anacon India 2013 - held in Mumbai from November 12-14, 2013, and jointly organised by Messe Munchen International (MMI) and the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) – witnessed huge response with 4,022 trade visitors from the industry. Bhupinder Singh, Deputy CEO, MMI India, said, “Analytica Anacon India 2013 has been successful in bringing a new momentum to research, business and technology of analytical instruments in India. The event has consistently showcased top manufacturers and suppliers of analytical instruments from all over the world.”
 
The event attracted visitors from primary domains such as pharmaceutical, chemical & petrochemical, food, medical laboratory, universities and research institutes. Offering potential to revolutionise other growing industries, Analytica Anacon had participation from a broad range of leading local, national and international analytical instrument manufacturers and distributors.

K V Venugopalan, President, IAIA, said, “The Indian analytical instrument market including consumables and spares is estimated at around $ 1 billion with a growth rate of above 10 percent. This along with the rising demand and developments in food safety and pharmaceuticals production will help the industry grow at a steady pace. There is a high dependence on import of technologies for research and at times they are not easily available for various commercial or legal reasons. The time has come to focus on developing cutting edge technologies and instruments in India that will give us advantage in the coming decades.”
 
This edition of Analytica Anacon India witnessed participation from companies such as Agilient Technologies, Waters India, Borosil, Bruker AXS Analytical Instruments Pvt Ltd, Cryogen Instruments, Eppendorf, GCE India Pvt Limited, Genedirex, Inkarp Instruments, Labcon, LCGC Chrom Consumables LLP, Marsap, Medispec Instruments, Merck Millipore, Metrohm India Limited, Phenomenex India, Skytech Systems, S V Scientific, TA Instruments, Vishva Protech, and many more.
 
The trade fair also featured an international conference - with the topic ‘Research & regulations: Challenges for the pharmaceutical, life science and food industries’ - addressing various concerns in the instrumentations industry.
