Andhra Petrochemicals restarts production at Vizag facility

The plant was shut down since September 4, 2013 due to unavailability of raw material propylene from its supplier HPCL

Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd informed BSE on October 15, 2013 that it has restarted production at its Visakhapatnam plant after it was shut down on 4 September, 2013. The company has commenced production at the plant from October 14, 2013.

In its filing on September 5, 2013, Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd informed BSE that the company’s plant at Visakhapatnam has been shut-down from September 04, 2013 due to non-supply of major raw material propylene from its supplier Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL). As per company website, Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd, in which Andhra Sugars Ltd (ASL) is the major shareholder, produces oxo alcohols at Visakhapatnam.
