Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited has two nitrogenous fertiliser (urea) plants - Gadepan-I & Gadepan-II - located at Gadepan having a combined capacity to produce about 2 million MT of urea per annum. Last week, the company had announced the temporary shut down of Gadepan-II urea unit due to unfavourable policy of the Government of India for production beyond 100% capacity of the urea plant for the financial year 2014-15.
