Engineers India bags $ 139-mn contract for Nigerian refinery

Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has bagged a $ 139 million contract from Dangote Oil Refining Company of Nigeria to render project management consultancy (PMC) and engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for implementing a grassroot 20 MMTPA petroleum refinery and 600,000 TPA polypropylene plant in Lekki Free Trade Zone near Lagos, Nigeria.  
 
The contract, which was signed on 2 June 2014, is the largest ever single consultancy assignment for EIL.
 
The main facilities of the project comprise crude distillation unit, residue fluid catalytic cracking unit, diesel hydro-treating unit, continuous catalyst regeneration unit, alkylation unit, polypropylene unit, etc. The crude and product handling facilities through single point mooring (SPM) would also be integrated with the refinery.
