IFFCO commits Rs 10 cr for Swach Bharat project

Indian Farmer’s Fertilizers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has decided to contribute Rs 10 crore to the Narendra Modi’s ambitious project Swach Bharat project, which is scheduled to be launched on October 2, 2014. The government has already earmarked Rs 1,96,009 crore for project.
 
Ananth Kumar, Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, received a letter committing a donation of Rs 10 crore towards Swach Bharat from IFFCO in New Delhi on September 26, 2014. Speaking on the occasion he said IFFCO is committed to making such donation every year as the campaign envisioned by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposes separate toilets for girls in every school of the country.
 
Presenting the letter, Dr U S Awasthi, CMD & CEO of the IFFCO, said that all the five crore members of the IFFCO are committed to the Swach Bharat Campaign as proposed by the Prime Minister.
 
Secretary Department Fertilizers Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, and other officials of the ministry were also present.
