Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys restarts Mahagiri Chromite Mines

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys has restarted its Mahagiri Chromite Mines in Odisha, operations of which was stopped from October 29, 2013. Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd informed BSE on January 6, 2013, that operations at the Mahagiri Chromite Mines of the company has been restarted with effect from January 04, 2014 upon extension of Environmental Clearance by The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Government of India.
 
Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys had to discontinue work at the mines in October 2013 since compliance of certain conditions imposed by MoEF could not be completed within the stipulated time.
