Insecticides India aims Rs 1200-cr turnover in 2014-15

The New Delhi-based agrochemicals company Insecticides India Ltd, which which reported an annual turnover of Rs 900 crore last fiscal, is eyeing a turnover of Rs 1200 crore in 2014-15. As a part of this strategy, the company aims to strengthen its presence in Odisha, and expects the state to contribute Rs 17 crore to the overall turnover this year. The company has a share of eight per cent in Odisha’s insecticide market.
 
“We are working to expand our footprint in Odisha where our Navratna products are receiving good response, especially Lethal Super 505, Thimet, Indan Shark, Monocil and Nuvan which are very popular in the state. Going forward, we are aiming to generate a sizeable business from the Odisha market,” said Rajesh Aggarwal, managing director, Insecticides India Ltd.
 
The company is also planning to focus on exports market and expects 20 per cent of its turnover to come from exports in the next two to three years.
