IOL Chemicals plans business restructuring

The Ludhiana-based maker of bulk chemicals, IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd, is reportedly planning to restructure its business operations. IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals informed BSE that the Board considered and discussed to restructure the business of the company and authorised the Managing Director (Varinder Gupta) to explore the possibility of various options consisting of demerger or merger, incorporate one or more subsidiary companies, joint ventures and to transfer the business of one segment/product, or in combination or otherwise arrange the business of company to unleash the potential of the company.
 
Established in 1986, IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd is a manufacturer and supplier of bulk drugs, food additive, reactants and solvents. Some of the products manufactured by the company includes glacial acetic acid, ethyl acetate, acetic anhydride, ibuprofen, isobutyl benzene, mono chloro acetic acid and acetyl chloride.
