National Peroxide to raise Kalyan plant capacity to 95,000 tonnes

For expansion work, the company announces 51-day shutdown

National Peroxide, one of the largest manufacturers of hydrogen peroxide in India, is undertaking expansion activity at its Kalyan plant, in Maharashtra, to increase hygrogen peroxide capacity from 84,000 tonne to 95,000. National Peroxide Ltd has informed BSE that the company's plant located at Kalyan, will be shutdown for a period of approximately 51 days from April 28, 2014, for carrying out activities relating to capacity expansion from 84,000 tonnes per annum (50% w/w) to 95,000 tonnes per annum (50%w/w).

In an interview with B2B Connect in October last year, Suhas R Lohokare, the Managing Director of National Peroxide Ltd, had informed about the plan to increasing the plant capacity to 95,000 tonne in 2014. He had also hinted, during the interview, at raising the capacity further by another 30% over the next few years.
