Rama Phosphates receives FAI award for SSP unit

The company has bagged this award consecutively for third year in a row

The Mumbai-based Rama Phosphates Ltd was bestowed with The Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) award for its Indore units. “Rama Phosphates Ltd’s fertiliser unit at Indore has won FAI award for Best Production performance of an operation fertiliser unit for Single Super Phosphate (SSP) for 2012-2013 among 91 SSP fertiliser units in the country,” said the company in a press release. Rama Phosphates has bagged this award consecutively for third year in a row.
 
The award was received by the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, J K Parakh, at the hands of Sharad Pawar, Union Minister of Agriculture & Food Processing Industries. The award was handed over on December 11, 2013 at New Delhi at The Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) Annual Seminar.
 
Rama Phosphates has manufactures phosphatic fertilisers viz SSP (powder as well as granule), mixed fertilisers namely NPK and chemicals like sulphuric acid, oleum etc. The total installed capacity of the company is 4.78 lakh tonnes of SSP and 1.83 lakh tonne of sulphuric acid.
