Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd, which is in process of setting up one of India's largest e-waste facility on a 12-acre industrial land at Narasapura near Bangalore, is targeting revenue generation of Rs 100 crore by 2018 from e-waste business.
Recently, the company’s integrated e-waste recycling facility, which is expected to be ready for operations from April 2016, will have a capacity to process 96,000 tonnes of e-waste and will be equipped for 100 percent recycling of all collected e-waste with zero landfill. In an effort to garner the largest marketshare in e-waste business, Cerebra is signing up with channel partners and large corporates across India to expand its network of e-waste collection. The plant will facilitate refining and recycling activities as well as enable refurbishment of e-waste.
“As construction of our e-waste plant is going as per schedule, we are closer to our mission to make our environment cleaner and more valuable. E-waste disposal is a critical issue in the world today with huge toxic accumulation. With this world class planning coming up, Cerebra is poised to grow exponentially both in terms of revenue and profits in the years to come and this business will be our mainstay going forward," said V Ranganathan, managing director, Cerebra.
For over two decades, Cerebra has been providing IT hardware infrastructure services. The current initiative to set up one of India's largest e-waste recycling facilities will be a reverse process of collection of all IT, WEE (waste electrical & electronic equipment).
