Honeywell Automation's new Pune facility to focus on process solutions

The company will offer a range of key products from the process solutions portfolio including its flagship product, the Experion process knowledge system

Honeywell Automation's new Pune facility to focus on process solutions

Honeywell Automation India Ltd, a part of is part of US-based Honeywell Inc, has set up another facility in Pune which will integrate manufacturing, factory testing, quality control and advanced manufacturing engineering for Honeywell’s automation business in India. This is the company’s seventh manufacturing facility in the country and the third in Pune.
 
Thomas Szlosek, Senior Vice President and CFO, Honeywell International, said, “The country is on the verge of an economic revival. The seed planting we did in India at a time when global investor confidence was low, gives us a head start as we launch our second manufacturing facility within two months.”

Honeywell’s flagship solution – the Experion process knowledge system, a range of pressure and temperature transmitters, and process safety systems, are some key products from the process solutions portfolio that will be manufactured in the new facility.
 
Last year, the company has set up a solar water heater manufacturing unit in Vadodara, Gujarat. This is a complete new business for Honeywell in India.
 
"Honeywell already has a significant presence in Maharashtra with its automation and turbocharger manufacturing facilities based in Pune, built with an investment of around Rs 500 crore. It provides full time employment to nearly 3,000 people in the state. Consolidating manufacturing in one location will create efficiencies and improve productivity for us. This will enable businesses to share expertise and training capabilities as well,” said Anant Maheshwari, President, Honeywell India.
