KEC International bags orders worth Rs 1,036 crore

KEC International, an RPG Group company, has secured new orders worth of Rs 1,036 crore. Its transmission & distribution business bagged an order of Rs 582 crore from Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch Company for supply and construction of 400 KV transmission line from Barakah Switchyard to Madinat Zayed Grid Substation in Abu Dhabi. It also received orders of Rs 48 crore and Rs 36 crore in Saudi Arabia and Americas respectively.
 
The company also secured a composite order of Rs 317 crore for electrification, civil works, track laying, signalling, construction of road beds and bridges in connection with doubling between Rae Bareli and Amethi stations from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, said KEC International in a press release.
   
In addition, the company’s cables business has secured orders of Rs 53 crore for supply of power cables (including EHV) and telecom cables.
 
“I am happy that our railways business has secured a large order which substantiates and reaffirms our belief in the railways growth story. Our transmission and distribution business has strengthened our leadership in the MENA region with the Abu Dhabi order,” said Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International.
