Rane Holdings increases stake in SasMos

By raising its stake from 26% to 45% in SasMos, a supplier of wiring harness for defence and aerospace industries, Rane Holding expects to enhance its position in these two sectors

Rane Holdings Ltd has increased its stake in SasMos HET Technologies Limited, the Bangalore-based manufacturer of interconnection system and wiring harness for defence and aerospace industries, to 45 per cent from 26 per cent. Rane Holding made a strategic investment in SasMos during September 2011 by acquiring 26 percent in its equity share capital.
 
“Rane Holdings has further acquired 19.24 per cent in the equity share capital of SasMos from Lumipol International BV, a Netherland-based company, on November 26, 2014, taking its total shareholding in SasMos to 45.24 per cent,” said Rane Holdings in BSE filing. The move is expected to help Rane Holding by significantly enhancing its presence in the defence and aerospace sector.
 
SasMos designs and manufactures customised electronic solutions including electrical interconnection of solutions and electronics systems design and integration for defence and aerospace applications. Currently, the company exports more than 70 per cent of its products to Israel, US and Europe.
