Chaturbhuj Pharmaceutical to commercialise ayurvedic diabetes drug

The company has signed licensing agreement with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) for Ayush-82, developed by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences

Chaturbhuj Pharmaceutical Co, the Haridwar (Uttarakhand) based manufacturer of ayurvedic products, has entered into a licensing agreement with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), for commercialisation of Ayush-82, an ayurvedic formulation for management of diabetes. 
 
Ayush-82 has been developed by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy). National Research Development Corporation has so far licensed 13 ayurvedic technologies developed by CCRAS to more than 33 companies in India.
 
Ayush-82 is a combination of known and tested hypoglycemic drugs. Its clinical studies have been done extensively. Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases marked by high level of blood glucose resulting from defects in insulin production, insulin action or both. Diabetes may lead to serious complications in multiple organ systems.
