Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc has completed its earlier announced deal to sell its Cole-Parmer customer channel business to private equity firm GTCR LLC for approximately $480 million in cash. On July 17, 2014, Thermo Fisher Scientific had signed a definitive agreement to sell its Cole-Parmer channel business to GTCR Llc.
 
Cole-Parmer, based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, is a provider of fluid handling, test and measurement, and electrochemistry products and services with 400 employees globally. The business had approximately $230 million in revenues for full year 2013 and is part of Thermo Fisher’s Laboratory Products and Services Segment.
