A Schulman to expand masterbatch capacity in China

A Schulman Inc, the US-based supplier of high-performance plastic compounds and resins, is planning to double its masterbatch production capacity in Dongguan, China, to serve the growing demand from the packaging and personal care & hygiene industries in China. The company expects the new production line to ramp up volume over the next several months
 
“A Schulman is aiming to expand its global footprint in emerging markets, especially in China, where we can build on our proven expertise and technological leadership in this market. In addition, we plan to expand our engineered plastics production capacity in China by mid-2015 to meet the growing needs of the mobility and electric & electronics market. These key investments in China are in line with our global strategy to focus on fast-growing markets and improve our capabilities to serve customers,” said Derek Bristow, vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific, A Schulman.
